I am a firm believer in visiting and using the resources of local libraries.

In addition to reading and research books, Los Angeles City libraries have many educational videos and DVDs on a wide variety of topics including famous Americans, nature/science, animals, as well as local, national, and international history.

PBS, or Public Broadcasting Stations, are another wonderful source of information for children and adults. The have excellent musical performances and other programming besides the well known Sesame Street & Barney. Have aa look at your local TV listingsand see what is schedule for KCET & KOCE, my personal favorites.
