5. Ms. Kelly's Rule: The word can't is not allowed in my classroom. Every can do anything if they try and practice.
To encourage students to use these guidelines in a positive way, I will recognize and support positive actions and responsibility. Students will earn colored marbles that function as money in our class store, which will be open monthly. On the other hand, if a student makes a series of inappropriate choices the following steps will be taken:
1st Time: Verbal Warning
2nd Time: Lose 1 STAR points on behavioral chart
3rd Time: Lose 1 STAR point + 10 mins. of recess/lunch
4th Time: Lose 1 STAR point + Think Sheet
5th Time: Lose last STAR point + contact parent/guardian
Our homework policy is as follows:
I understand that illness and doctor's appointments happen. In these situations, both classwork and homework will be made available for the student and they will be given 1 day, for each day missed, to complete missed work as long as a note signed by a parent/guardian or doctor is presented to me.
