Emergency Procedures

· Fire Drills-Room evacuation

Due to Fire or earthquake or any other event. Evacuation location will be determined because of the location of the fire, etc. If there is a fire, someone needs to pull the fire alarm!

· Campus evacuation

Due to fire, earthquake or if the campus is deemed unsafe by administration or civil authority. All classes will assemble as they do for a fire drill and further instructions will be given then.

· Lock-Down in rooms

In the event of an attack or other dangerous situations that could affect our campus or surrounding area, the following steps will be taken:

1. Administration will use the words CODE RED over the intercom and/or ring school bell 6 short times.

2. Upon hearing this, the person in charge needs to have the students get on the floor, close windows and blinds, and lock your door. Be very quiet!

3. If the students are outside, the supervisor should gather the students together and find the nearest room. If possible, let the office know where you are.

4. Each class should buzz or call the office to let us know you are ok. If you don’t call the office, we will assume something is wrong.

· Earthquake Procedures

DAYCARE, MUSIC CLASS, PE, LIBRARY, COMPUTER LAB, AND ALL OTHER TIMES THE CHILDREN ARE NOT IN THEIR REGULAR CLASS SHOULD FOLLOW ALL OF THESE PROCEDURES AS CLOSELY AS POSSIBLE.
